Nomos Sport Neomatik – Club and Tangente

Tangente Sport neomatik 42 date marine black, close up (ref 581)

Sporty watches need to be particularly tough and that’s exactly what the new Sport Neomatik watches are.

The steel and (domed) sapphire glass on these watches is nearly 20% thicker than in other models, and the seals are also thicker. With a water resistance of 1000ft, these watches are remarkably robust, yet still relatively thin thanks to the neomatik caliber – the super precise in-house swing system.

The case is 42mm, there is a screw-down crown, and an extra large date at 3 o’ clock. The anti-reflective coating on both sides, and the extra superluminova on indexes, numerals and hands, make it easy to read in the day, at night and under water.

In the Tangente Sport there is a choice of white or marine black dials; the Club Sport is only available in the marine black. Although the Club Sport has a much more monochromatic dial, with the only bit of colour being “1,000 ft” inscribed in gold, it does have one colourful advantage over the Tangente Sports models: as the crown is unscrewed it reveals a red band around the pendant/stem.  This is a very useful alert that the crown is not screwed down properly.

All 3 models are fitted with the new metal sport bracelet, which was designed specifically for them.  Made from over 145 separate pieces, with interlocking tongue and groove connections between the links, and a deployant clasp, the bracelet is very flexible, and, as individual links can easily be removed or added, also very comfortable.

All three models are now available to purchase in the shop or online.
